Planning To Work Out Again...

For these past few months, I've been whining about gaining weight again. Especially when I saw my pictures where I see bigger arms and tummy now. It's a sign that I definitely have to go back to the gym again. Some friends and I were planning but we didn't compromised where we will enroll. I want to go back to where I used to gym before but they find that expensive and far from their residence. Hmm. I think that gym has the great fitness equipment in the city and their place is so spacious. I hope they could get to see the gym too and find it out themselves. Perhaps they'll change their minds.

Restoring My Datas...

I ever wonder what will happen if my files in my pc gets corrupted. Heard a few whines from friends about their files being corrupted and was so worried how to get back those important files back. Never experienced such thing yet and I'm hoping I wouldn't be experiencing that dilemma. So I guess online backup is really a necessity for computer users. My brother also had mentioned that to me once. And perhaps he knows how to use it then. Will be encouraging him to help me use it too.

Experiencing God's Presence

I am grateful for my cell group seniors for inviting me over to G12's Ignite. For all the information of everyone, I was experiencing depression, hatred, anger and spiritual dryness over these past months and I was seeking to reconnect with God again. I believed God sent my cell group leaders to help me lead me back to him.

From my personal point of view, Ignite is G12's form of retreat. G12 is a Christian Community open for all people from different walks of life and from different religions. This community help you build a personal relationship with God.

Ignite was a one day event with a series of lecture. It was kinda boring listening all day and sitting in your chair. But I was trying to fight back that boredom by eating chips to divert my boredom. In fairness to the community, I learned a lot from that lectures.

The highlight of this event is the part where you get to experience God's presence through the Holy Spirit. We were all asked to stand in front, close our eyes and raise our hands. I prayed and asked God to accept me. I was there because I wanted to feel His presence and so I was seeking and asking Him to receive my desires. True enough, while praying and focusing on my desires and just surrendering myself to Him...I burst into tears, weeping aloud and felt my hands got warm and there was a tingling sensation. Then I felt a heavy feeling coming from my fingertips down to my arms. It was so heavy that I needed to shake my arms and even my legs. I felt my body shaking while picturing out a white dove flapping it's wings. I was following what the dove was doing. My hands felt like the dove's wings flapping. Fear of the heavy feeling I felt was my initial reaction, but the prayers of our guides really did guide me to receive God's presence. My friend beside me started to utter words, "Come into me! Come into me!". The voice was firm and getting louder. It seemed like her voice was glowing as I describe it and I felt God's presence in her as well. It felt like God was speaking that words. It was an amazing experience! I felt inner peace after that. The peace that I was longing for.

Looking For A Nice And Decent Shoes...

Yes, if you're looking for one I bet you could find a variety of it online. I've been stumbling over online shops and got tagged from facebook with those nice shoes. But some were quite expensive for my low budget. But I've come to this site which sells Cole Haan shoes. I think they're good looking shoes with good quality as well. As you can see from the picture above, that's one of their line of shoes that I'm eyeing for. Nice right?!

Staying in Condos...

Did I mention from my previous post about my dream vacations? I bet I did! And one of those dream vacations will be in Florida. I know there are some travel agency who offers tour package with accommodations. I guess hotel accommodations are expensive. It's good if you knew someone residing there so you can ask them to help you stay in their homes for the meantime or better yet, help you find orlando condos around.

Repairing Our Sink...

Our sink's over a year. And we are currently encountering some problems with regards to it. There's water leakage even if you turn it off. My dad's already sought the service of a plumber. Don't know what's the current status of it. I was thinking that perhaps they bought any new sink or faucet for that matter because I would love to give ideas again based on American Standard sinks.

Vacation Talk...

How I wish I could get a vacation. An out of the country vacation. Where I could get to see the other side of the world. Learn new cultures and languages. Taste new cuisines. Aaah! What a nice dream to have! One of my dream vacation wishlist is the florida vacations. I really hope I could get the chance to get there. I surely would love to visit Disneyland. I heard they have the largest Disneyland theme park.

Watching Downloaded Movies...

I find it convenient to just download movies from the internet. I can find good movies with good resolutions for just free. I can find the movies I missed out on cinemas. But the downside of it is the high risk of getting a virus. Aside from that, it's not that comfortable to watch it infront of the pc. I hope there's are mounts available for pc monitors so I could just lay while watching.

Pack One, Pack All

How interesting it is to note that when I arrived from work this morning, most of the OR staff and trainees have flu. It's not only me! Haha! We jokingly says that there's a virus in our unit which has infected most of us.

And mind you, it's not easy to get sick when you are working, right? Especially if we are assisting in operation cases. Good thing it's holiday today and there are only 2 minor cases scheduled today. I hope whatever virus we have, it should be eradicated. Toinks!

Switching to Electronic Cigarette...

We all know the dangers of smoking and 2nd hand smoke. I for one gets irritated with smoke. I can't help but wonder why some people likes to smoke a lot when all you ever get from that is smoke, nicotine and carcinogens. Plus the smelly clothes you get from it. I think it's unhygienic. It also is a challenge for smoking population to quit their habit of smoking. It entails great self determintation and control to quit from it. But learning about electronic cigarette seems like promising. I think if you want to quit from smoking you have to slowly kick that habit out of your system and using electronic cigarettes will help you with that without harming your health.

I Think This Year's My Worst Year...

Year of the ox seems to be the worst year of my life. Following the break up, been sick several times this year. And I hate the feeling of getting sick. Now I'm suffering from recurrent flu and got 38.1 degrees Celsius temperature. Hays. The hot feeling and at the same time the chills really bugs me. And because of this, I can't get to sugbonding with my friends tonight. Crap!

Paracetamol only gave me temporary relief but I'm still hoping I'll get well ASAP!. Don't wanna be absent for tomorrow's duty. Seems like my body's stressed out from work and at the same time with the weather changes we have right now. Even Vitamin C's not helping.

Roadside Assistance...

We never know when and how we need roadside assistance. In the United States, RVs are common and when in the middle of the road your vehicle needs some assistance, you can avail of rv towing. That's kinda convenient, right?! Especially if you lack skills in auto maintenance. It's also available to any vehicles not just RVs. I hope one of you have any RV towing numbers in case you needed one.

We Need to Cleanse Our Colons...

As an OR trainee nurse, I am mostly assigned in the endoscopy unit. I help the nurse on duty assist in endoscopic procedures such as UGI series and Colonoscopy to name a few. With colonoscopy, a scope is being inserted in your anus while you are sedated. This is a diagnostic procedure to look for any unusualities inside your colon. There I witnessed how our feces forms in the walls of our intestines. And so I realized that it is really important for us to cleanse our colon. I know there are a lot of ways on how to cleanse it, such as enemas. We can find several colon cleanser reviews online to check what suits us best.

Christmas Invitations...

Christmas is fast approaching and our unit is already planning on our Christmas party. This is the first time I will be taking part in a Christmas party in the hospital. And I'm excited for that. As early as now, our department is giving away Christmas invitations for surgeons, anesthesiologists and other guests. I was even task to make the invitation letter. I'm so looking forward for our Christmas party!!

ORNAP Convention

Just got home from ORNAP convention Davao Chapter. ORNAP stands for Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines. This is the very first time I particpated in their convention and I was glad I did. There are a lot of freebies from different companies. Of course the foods served were scrumptious and the speeches of the different speakers were enlightening and encouraging. I do hope that next time I could participate again.

Guy Talk...Cars!!

I can't help but wonder why most guys are obsessed with cars. I knew some but this one guy I know is really fond of it. And it's not just ordinary cars, they are luxury cars. I hope he has insurance for his cars. What I know is that there are a lot of auto insurance quotes available online. I just don't get it why they'd collect a lot of them. I think it's not for practicality, but it's more of passion and hobby I guess. On the other hand, women are obsessed with bags and shoes. That makes it kinda fair then.

Working Out Through Wii...

Working in the operating room is quite fun. But what makes it enjoyable is the food trip. Even though we're busy with operation cases, we still are at risk for getting obese. Why not? In exhange of our toxic duty, food is the sought after reward of everyone. And some surgeons and anesthesiologists are generous to buy food for the staff. That is the reason why I need to go the gym and have another work out. Or better yet have my work out using the wii consoles at home. It's more convenient. :)

A Vacation News...

It's an excitement for me to hear someone says she/he will be having a vacation. I think each of us deserves a break from work. And knowing that one of our sought after anesthesiologist is going for a vacation leave sometime soon, I can't help but congratulate him for giving time for himself. He's a very hardworking man and he really deserves to have a break. One of his destinations is in Las Vegas and I was thinking perhaps he had availed some vegas packages. Apparently no. He have some local friends there who volunteered to accompany him and be his tour guide.

Jacob Was A Surprise...

It was the first night of New Moon Movie and my friends and I were so excited to watch it last night. After duty, off we went to the cinema and purchased our movie tickets. All New Moon cinemas were full with this Twilight's Saga lovers.

I think the movie was good. But I felt the story was fast paced as compared to the book. Of course they have to compressed the whole book into a movie and so I understand that. Still the vampires got a bad makeup. But what all the movie goers got struck even I, was Jacob's transformation. Not as a werewolf but as a hunk! Haha. Great physique he got there which got everyone surprised and loved him to death.

Pre Christmas Shopping

Christmas is fast approaching and I bet there are some smart people who already started their shopping spree to avoid the Christmas rush. It's actually a good idea. But then, even if this is an ample time to shop, there are some busy people, who can't still managed to shop in the malls due to their hectic schedules. This is when online shopping becomes a saver. Of course there are certain websites where you can shop online such as circuit city. Lots of varieties to choose from at a reasonable price. Plus it's very convenient than shopping in the mall, right? So start surfing the net now!

Witnessing a Pedia Operations...

This is the very first time I get to witness and circulate on a pediatric operation. Just this morning, we had a 1 year old baby for an insertion of a venous access implants. This is done for his chemotherapy. In comparison with the operation of the adults, you get to be more fragile in handling pediatric cases. I alos find it very pitiful to look at babies in the operation table. Aww. Nevertheless, the operation was a success. I also got to know this day that pedia patients go into tantrums when they are on NPO. Why wouldn't they? They're hungry! Hehe.

Searching for Sales Job

Back then, I was wondering what made it difficult for job seekers to find a job after graduation. Now I felt like how hard it is. After graduating, I didn't find a job immediately, but rather took all the exams I needed for my profession. After which, did some clinical trainings and tried applying for employment. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy. The training I had undergone wasn't an assurance of my absorption in the institution. I still have to experience failures and rejections from employers. And every institution has their own training program before applying for employment. No wonder there are a lot of people from my profession sought to seek for a job not related to our careers. For instance, Sales Job in the business arena. Some of us finds it easier to get a job in the business area than the medical field, especially nowadays that you can easily apply online with the help of Sales Job Search.

Soul's Day or Rather...It's Saul's Day

Every year, we usually celebrate the "undas" on the 2nd day of November together with the celebration of my cousin's birthday. His name was derived from All "Soul's" Day and his father's name.

We were all present at my grandfather's grave. This year was special since my godmother from the states, who is very close to our family, well in fact, she's even a part of our family was here to celebrate it with us.

I was also thankful I made it despite of my clinical training. Hence, I was very happy bonding with my family and my relatives.

What my Sunday Felt Like

It was a Sunday yesterday and I had this urge to go to mass. I gave in to the calling but was quite late when I arrived at the church. The priest was already giving his homily and it was about love and marriage. Hmm... Anyways, I went to the mall thereafter to buy some stuffs needed for my duty. One thing that I need is a toothpaste, and so I was scanning over the toothpaste section. My attention was sought when I stumbled on this whitening toothpaste that is an appetite suppressants. I wonder if it does work, do any of you tried one? Was able to buy some good facial scrub and I'm meaning to buy the other lines of the said brand. The ample time I gave to myself that day helped relieves the stress I was having. LOL.

Our First Shifting Duty

I don't know what crossed our head nurse's mind that he gave us a duty off this Friday and asked us to report on duty this Saturday. Initially, we will be reporting on morning duty for the whole month and consider it as our orientation. But I guess, some staff requested for it or perhaps, this Saturday is a toxic day. Still, it was okay and we were happy to have our off this Friday and I will be having my PM duty this Saturday. Weeh!

No Graveyard Shift!!!

During our orientation in O.R. with our head nurse, he informed us that he wouldn't be giving us a graveyard shift. I felt so relieved upon hearing that not only will I get dark circles around my eyes, but as well as avoid possible creepy encounters in the unit. I believe wherever you will be, there will be spooky stories you will hear from the locals, and our unit is no exemption. Nevertheless, it was a good news for me as I was anticipating fear that night shift will give me. LOL.

Car Accidents

Car accidents may be due to car negligence, recklessness, impairments or dangerous road conditions. There are a lot of factors and I think no one ever wants to have a car accident. Most of the cases were accidents, thus unexpected. But when the time comes that we least expect this thing to happen, it's best that we should be ready with our defense. May be in the for of car insurance or lawyer like the Tacoma car accident lawyer that would help us with this problem.

Driving Around McDo Bajada

After duty yesterday, my group mates and I were very happy that Sir Jun offered to drive us to Victoria Plaza with his Montero Car. It all started with a joke. We were teasing him during our duty to drive us to the mall in his car, without really knowing he really has one. While dressing up for home, we were all surprised when suddenly Sir Jun asked us if we are going with him. We were caught off guard because we really didn't expect that he was taking our joke seriously and that he really did have a car. And so we readily said yes! While he was driving us around Mcdo bajada, I saw a familiar face of a pretty lady. I realized she was my schoolmate back in college and I can't believe she lost some weight. I wonder if she uses some weight loss pills or perhaps it's the result of her working as a flight attendant.

Advocating Life Insurance

Being a healthcare worker and being the eldest offspring in the family, I realized that having an insurance is a necessity nowadays, especially with life insurance. We have to be practical and ensure our self and our family's welfare. There are various insurance available in the market today catering to our needs. It's best to do some research and ask the help of the experts before purchasing one.

Discipline Through Sports

At a young age, it's good to expose kids in sports. Not only do they achieve physical wellness but it also develop their social skills, teamwork and discipline in oneself to name a few. I am grateful that I was an athlete back in school. I learned a lot and developed my passion in every thing that I do. It drives me to perfection. And even now that I rarely play sports, I still practice the virtues I learned from sports. The only regret I have though is, I wasn't able to pursue my dream to be an equestrian and fit those nice and decent equestrian apparels.

Chit Chats About Working Abroad

As nurses, when we're in the stage of getting to know each other, most of the conversations will lead to taking up foreign exams and working abroad. Fortunately, I passed all the foreign exams required to take to work in the United States. And they were all asking me if I have an employer already. And yes I do. My employer is in New York and I had already had signed a contract with them. Currently, I'm waiting for my visa number and hopefully in the future I will be granted the visa and could work in New York. That would be a dream come true. And since I am pursuing my dream to work in NY, I think it is best for me to scan for any good New York accident lawyers that I could contact in case I needed one. Hopefully my New Yorker friends will help me with that.

Weight Loss Conversation

Our duty this day wasn't that toxic. We had 3 minor cases in the operating room and after all has been done, my co-trainees and I had the luxury of time to make chit chats. It was around lunch time when we were discussing on what we should order for lunch. Three of us ordered kare-kare while the only guy in our group just ordered palabok. He insisted he's controlling the amount of food he's consuming as he is gaining weight already. He did'nt like to opt for weight loss product, as this will be his last resort. But then I thought that palabok is still rich in carbohydrates and it's still useless if he chooses that for his diet plan. LOL. Anyways, I was satisfied with the kare-kare I ate. It was delicious!

Unhealthy Fats

Back then, I was conscious with my weight. I went to the gym and lost some weight. It was satisfying as I had lost 6 kilos from it. Though unfortunately, eventhough I lost some weight, I still have belly fats. And I know it isn't healthy since it's still prone to heart diseases. And because I was sensitive with it, I asked my trainor on how to lose belly fat fast. According to him, it's plainly simple...just skip rice and sodas. Huhu.

Texas Accomodations

Just last week, I heard that a college batchmate of mine just flew to states. She's a nurse and she got a job via working visa in Texas. The processing was quite fast and now she's there already. I wonder if she is staying in an Austin apartments in Texas. Or perhaps, she has relatives there. Nevertheless, I'm still happy for her.

Live Chat On Facebook

I know there are a lot people out there who are currently addicted to facebook. Who wouldn't? Aside from social networking, you get to play games application in it. But one thing that I like from this site is the fact that you can have a live chat with your online facebook friends. No need to ask them for their YM id for you to chat with them. It's convenient and helps strengthen your bonds too!

Typhoon Ondoy

Certain parts of Manila has been greatly affected by typhoon "Ondoy". People from various status were greatly affected. They need food, clothings, shelter, medicines and other stuffs. As of now, deaths has increased to a hundred. Most of them were kids who were drowned and got trapped from their houses. Though Philippines is being frequently visited by typhoons, this is the worst thing that happened to our beloved country. Still, many people are missing and rescuers are still on it's effort to save them.

Here's one striking video I found online. Had seen this on TV and I really got teary eyed watching these people swallowed by the flood helplessly. Bystanders on the bridge tried to help them but failed due to the water's strong current.

My fellow Filipinos do greatly need your help! Please visit this site on how to extend your help in any kind.

Another PC Upgrade Plan

My brother and I are gamers. We spent most of our free time in front of the computer and play our favorite games. We used to be a hard core gamer on some RPG online games. But not, since we're kinda busy, we usually play some casual games on facebook and some games that were downloaded in our desktop. My brother plans to have our video card upgraded by buying a new one. He saves for it and I hope he could buy one in time.

Great Smile Is A Good Asset

As for me, I think having a great smile is your best asset. Whenever I see some friends and even the strangers who smiled at me, I smile back. It's contagious and it helps lighten someone's mood immediately. On the contrary, what prohibits me from smiling is due to some teeth imperfections. I've been planning to go to the dentist to have it fixed but I think it may cost a lot. Perhaps I'll pursue that plan when I get to the states and find some Plano cosmetic dentist.

Car Parts

Got the time to hang out at our store last week as I was preparing my requirements for my clinical training. My family's handling an auto supply shop and one morning, a walk in customer passed by and asked about the availability of certain car parts of a luxury car. We had none of those and so i recommended him to try searching for Mopar performance parts online.

A Very Sad Yet An Inspiring Story...

My brother showed me this video last night and while we were watching the whole video clip, I can't hide the feelings of sadness felt for these siblings. They were left by their parents and their 8 year old sister cares for them. Such an angel! Despite of poverty she still finds to take care of her brother and sister. They were severely malnourished. This video just proves that we should count our blessings and share these with the unfortunate people like them.

Premature Wrinkles

At my age, I am starting to get premature wrinkles around my eyes. As hard as I want to maintain a positive outlook in life, there will always be stressors around. Sleepless nights and dehydration I guess helped contribute to this upleasant wrinkles. When did it became pleasant though? Hehe. Anyways, I've been craving for various eye creams and there's one particular eye cream I am using now. Hope it'll do wonders.

Ensuring Our Safety

In the nursing field, our primary concern and our top most priority is to ensure the safety of our patients. It is also the same in our household. Especially now that we have a toddler in our home. Toddlers are curious kids and very movable. And so we see to it that we buy safety products . Buying these kind of products doesn't only ensure safety for our toddler but also with each and everyone of us.

Anticipating A Change of Neighborhood

Just recently, there were rumors that the airport is planning to expand again for international purposes. Our village is near the ran way. And if that happens, many homes will be paid to be demolished. I am hoping that ours wouldn't be affected with the expansion. It would be kinda hard to move and a long distance movers would really be a great help. But it's also saddening to move from here sicne there are already a lot of good memories during our childhood here.

Meeting New People

I had the chance to meet new people. This time they were Koreans. The first time I met them was when I dropped by in a restobar where my friend was and just said "Hi" to them while chatting for awhile with my friend. I didn't had the time to stay longer with them as I have also friends waiting for me in the taxi.

And so last week, I had the chance to be with them again and hanged out with them together with my friend. These Korean guys were funny and gentleman. We accompanied them to the PAL office, had dinner with them and accompanied them to go the grocery. We even rode the jeepney and for almost 3 months that they were here, that was the first time they rode one. They were like typical Filipinos who were "makulit" and funny. The only difference is the language. There are times that we can't understand one another due to the fact that their English vocabulary's not that good yet and often times they mispronounced some english words. We ended up letting them spell the word for us. LOL!

The experience was fun and different. I had the chance to learn more about their culture and also found out that the first few months they were here, they didn't appreciate Filipino foods. They find it oily or too sweet or too salty. But after awhile, they got used to it and liked it especially the barbecue and halo-halo.

My friend and I were also amazed with their medicating ointment. One of them got injured weeks ago and had a big wound around his right forearm. But now, with the Korean ointment he was using for his wound, it left no scars on it. There wasn't even any marks that would remind him of his injury. Amazing! No wonder they have nice skin.

I had fun with them but I just wish they learn more english words. Haha.

Safeguarding Your Home

A friend of mine and I chatted on YM and she shared to me the horrible experience they had in their dormitory. According to her, their building was intruded by a burglar and one of her dorm mate's room was robbed, taking her DVD player and her laptop. CCTV had recorded the actual intrusion of that burglar and it even stayed an hour in that room. Now, the whole occupants of the dormitory feared that it might happen again.

I was thinking, if this happened to our home, good thing if the burglar only robbed some stuffs. But what if it's more than that? It could be possible he'll leave the house on fire so as not to leave some traces of his identity. It then occurred in my mind that an alarm system and a home insurance is really a must.

Looking Younger

At this moment with my age, I am becoming more concern with my skin. It's a fact that as we age, we lose that elasticity and suppleness in our skin, especially in my face. I've tried different kinds of stuffs from non-organic to organic products. Even tried taking antioxidant supplements to delayed the age process. But as I noticed now, I observed there are some wrinkles around my eye area. It isn't good to have these and so I think that I'd be needing a face wrinkle cream. Need to keep my skin moisturize to prevent wrinkles from developing and to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.

An IT Brother

I was doing some paperworks yesterday in our shop for our small business. I was just helping out my mom. Here comes my brother, an IT student, taking notice of the things I was doing. Until he suddenly told me that my work will be easier if we have a custom software so that everything will be done smoothly. I agreed with that and so I challenged him to make one for us. LOL.

Kadayawan 2009

The 24th Kadayawan Festival in Davao City was a success! It gets getting better every year. Thanks to all it's organizers, sponsors and of course the local government of Davao. My family and I also had fun roaming around the city. The city streets were filled with people and there were a lot of events and guests around. Major highlights were the Indak Indak and the Flower Float Parade which I only watched on TV to avoid the crowded places. LOL.

Hustle Free Shopping

With the Kadayawan Festival our city just celebrated, my family and I went mall hopping and bought some goods. There were a lot of people in the city and everywhere you see a lot of people in the streets and even in the malls. As we went to pay for the goods we bought, I noticed how the mall's POS systems helped the processing more convenient and hustle free, in comparison to how it was decades back.

Another One Lonely Event

I was saddened by the fact that a special someone of mine left our country yesterday to work as a seafarer. For a year, we will be apart with little communication. I was crying my heart out, ambivalent of his leaving. Of course I am happy he is pursuing his career but at the same time, being apart from him makes me lonesome. But I have to deal with it and be strong for him. It's not easy on his part too, I guess it's more difficult on his part as this is his first time to be away from home. I just wished him all the good luck and safety.

Staying At Panama

Choosing Panama as one of your vacation destinations is worthwhile! It's rich in folklore and traditions. Salsa, is a mixture of Latin American music, is their Panamanian specialty. Panama is popular with their white sand beaches as they had the world's most beautiful white beaches. It's a nice place to stay at panama city fl rentals and enjoy the good and relaxing view of their beaches.

Being Mysterious

I have been thinking lately and now I've come to a decision. A decision to be a little bit mysterious of my plans. I'm the type of person who doesn't want other people to make plans for me. I want to plan on my own and work for it. I came to realized that I was way too open about my life with other people, the plans I have and the ways to attain it. Unfortunately, there were times that I failed and now people had expected too much from me, especially my parents. It's kind of sickening. And now, I just wanted to do things discreetly. ;)

Cherished Those Memories

There are various moments in our lives that are worth to be remembered at. And one way of doing so is capturing every moments by using a digital camcorders. You can never bring back the past but you can reminisce and remember every single detail of it through a video. It's even nicer when generations after you can see it. It's one good bonding moments with your family and friends.

The Danger of Asbestos Exposure

Lately, I've been hearing cancer cases on different people nowadays. One of which is the news about our former President Cory Aquino, who is currently battling with colon cancer. Another one is my Aunt, who, same with Cory, is also battling with colon cancer. Cancer is one feared disease of the many and malignant Mesothelioma is one different rare type of cancer. It can be acquired through asbestos exposure and workers in the company that deals with asbestos containing products are at high risks. There's no known cure for it yet but it can be preventable.

The Next Time Around

For several years, I am a subscriber of a certain GSM network. Our family purchased one of their plan packages and received a free unit. That's good for 2 years contract. Unfortunately, I cannot use this unit with another network and I have to have it unlocked first. We managed to unlocked our other cellphone units but this LG unit of my brother's is kinda expensive to unlock. That's the downside of it I guess. That's why he decided to buy a new one instead. And this time it's an unlocked phone.

Waiting for His Return Text

It was kinda odd that I haven't heard from him the whole day. His mobile phone's cannot be reached and I've talked to his cousin and informed me he's not home yet and that he's phone's battery is empty. I was worried. It's his second day to that new place where he is now and I was concerned that he might be lost.

I was relieved when I finally knew from his cousin that he's already home. But I still cannot reach his mobile phone. At least he's safe. But can't he be considerate enough to return my text and just informed me that he's okay? I was worried sick.

My Cousin and His Spectacles

Haven't seen this cousin of mine for quite sometime and just recently, I saw him again during our grandmother's birthday. I was surprised to see him wearing his spectacles. And I immediately remembered the $ 8 Rx eyeglasses of Zenni Optical on TV!!! He's more geek looking now but with style. LOL. And his eyeglasses looks almost the same as the picture above. High Five to Zenni Optical!

Sad Being Apart

Yes it is! And that's what I'm currently feeling at this moment. It's even harder when there are still issues left unresolved. Various thoughts, even ill ones, came crossing my mind. I'm wondering how he is doing and what activities of daily living he have out there. Nonetheless, all I can do is hope and pray that he will be safe and well. Wishing he'll still come home soon as he had promised.

Planning A Surprise

A special someone of mine will be out of the country for a year to work. It will be lonesome without him especially that we've had problems recently. Being away from each other makes our communication even more difficult. And so I was planning to make some messages in a piece of paper and placed it inside a nice container I found in one of the cardboard displays online that he can pick everyday to remind him of me. I do hope he'll love it.

Rental Homes

Going for a vacation in North Carolina?

I recommend planning your trip very well before jumping on to it. It's fun traveling and going for a vacation. Giving time for yourself or even get a time to bond with your friends or family. It's even more relaxing if you choose to stay in one of the finest beach homes for rent on the Outer Banks. Choosing Outer Banks rentals will help make your vacation more memorable.

Insurance for your Motorhome

There are quite some interesting people who own a motorhome. I think it's a brilliant idea owning one when you are fond of traveling around the states. You don't have to look for a motel on your way through your destination and just use your vehicle as your accommodation. The inventor of this is a genius! Purchasing a motorhome insurance is I think a necessity to safeguard your vehicle and your other properties in it.

Protecting Your Home

I experienced encountering a burglar in our house before. It was around 3 a.m. where all the neighborhoods are all asleep. But this guy, managed to get inside our front yard by climbing pass our fence. He was trying to invade inside our house by tearing the wire screen in our windows. And my room's window is one of them. It was scary confronting this burglar and because of my fear, I wasn't able to yell aloud for help. Good thing my parents were able to hear my low scream in my room and told them immediately that there's a robber outside my window.

Fortunately, we were not harmed and none of our properties were stolen. But because of this incident, I think having a home alarm systems is a must.

Learning to Play the Piano

Back in my childhood years, I envied my cousin who, in her summer time, enrolled for a piano lesson. I accompanied here once in her class and there I saw how she was being taught by her instructor and how lovely her fingers looked while playing the piano. At that time, I wanted to learn how to play piano too. Good thing during our music class in school, we were taught the basics on how to play the piano. At that moment, I was really happy.

Dreaming About Disney Florida

It's one of my dreams to go and visit Disneyland in Orlando, Florida. I love Disney! The first time I got to visit Disneyland was in Hong Kong last two years ago. It was a magical feeling and I felt like being a child again. There I saw my favorite Disney characters and rode some of their rides. It was amazing and I had a lot of fun there. And so I think that Disney in Orlando is even more fun. So by the time I'll get an opportunity to have my Orlando vacations, I'll make sure to visit Disneyland and other Orlando theme parks.

Metal Tiles Rock!

I was browsing online for nice tiles for my friend's house until I stumbled on this website selling a metal and stainless steel tiles. Actually they're very nice and is made with good quality. Best for commercial and residential use, and I was thinking this is perfect if you are planning to make your own bar. It could also be use as accents to give more drama into your home's interior design. These metal tiles are very modern and very lovely to use.

The # 7s in Michael Jackson's Life

Now that the memorial service has been given and thousands of people all gathered the Staples arena and millions of people watching on their television set and online all over the world. And the place where he's body will be buried is still a mystery to us let's divert our attention for a bit with this interesting article I found over tmz.com.

-- Michael Jackson signed his will on 7/7/02.
-- Michael Jackson's memorial was on 7/7/09 ... exactly 7 years after the will was signed.
-- Michael Jackson's two biggest hits -- "Black & White" and "Billie Jean" -- were each #1 for 7 weeks.
-- Michael Jackson's three biggest albums -- "Thriller," "Bad" and "Dangerous" -- each produced 7 top 40 hits.
-- Michael Jackson was the 7th of 9 children.
-- Michael Jackson was born in 1958 ... 19 + 58 = 77
-- Michael Jackson died on the 25th ... 2 + 5 = 7
-- Michael Jackson has 7 letters in his first and last name.

If you're looking for lottery numbers tonight, we recommend something with the number 7 in it.

Faucets...

There are a wide variety of faucets found in your local hardware and when I went around to go on window shopping, I find it challenging and fun to choose various household parts for your home, including the faucets. I had this impression before that if you buy something expensive, you get the best quality for that product. But then I was wrong. It doesn't happen most of the time because my father was able to buy a durable discount faucets for our kitchen. And I thought it was a good deal.

Our First Girl's Outing...

It was one hot summer day last May 29 and my cousin Pao suggested we go to the beach and invite our other cousins, Han and Colleen. Off we went to Costa Marina Resort at Samal Island.

The wind was soothing to our skin. We enjoyed taking pics with our nice bikini tops that we bought at Xquichic online.

We were almost stranded in the island. It was around 3pm that the rain started to poured heavily with strong winds that canceled the boat trips to and from the island temporarily. We worried we might not be able to leave the island and so we started planning for an overnight stay. But luckily, the rain had stopped in time for the their last trip and we arrived home safely.

Building My Resto...

How I wish that time will come I could build my own restaurant. But for the meantime, I am enjoying this game from Playfish's, "Restaurant City". Building my resto, collecting ingredients and upgrading my recipes. The higher the level my dishes are the quickest way for me to level up and earn gold coins. Plus, I can trade ingredients with my fellow facebook friends and give items to them as gifts.

Remembering My Psychiatric Nursing...

When you stay at home and got no job, it's really boring. As much as you want to, you want to keep yourself busy. But there times that you find yourself just sitting down or lying around, keeping yourself entertained by thinking about many things or even reminiscing. I recently remembered my Psychiatric Nursing days when I happened to do some blog hopping and saw one blogger wearing a psychiatric nursing shirt. Memories started pouring in. Back then, I was assigned in a private drug rehab institution where psychotics are also confined in the other building. That exposure was fun! We were interacting with our patients and there are times that we forgot we are communicating with psychotics. They all seemed normal at first glance even the addicts. And I learned that not all rehab patients that were confined there were addicted to drugs. There were some patients were admitted due to addiction to gambling, cutting classes and etc. Therefore, addiction is not merely focused on drugs alone.

Josh's Curiosity...

It has been quite long for my cousin Josh since he last visited our home. He was quite excited to see our grandmother but was disappointed that our lola wasn't at home. He was also excited to play playstation and again got upset when he learned that it was already been used by my father in his business. And to kill his boredom, he tried roaming around the house and turn on our backyard's outdoor lights. Well, he expected it was already turned on, but when he opened the back door, our dog, Harvey surprisingly stood in front of him. Good thing it was on leashed.

I Miss Working...

It has been nearly a year already that I stopped working in the hospital and I'm already missing it. I missed caring for my patients. It's challenging for me to handle such patients with serious diseases such as mesothelioma but it's rewarding and satisfying when you are caring for them the best way you can and can see the improvement in their condition. I just hope that one of these days, I could go back to working in the field again.

Our TV Broke Down...

Too bad our extra television in our dining area broke down. We all don't know the root cause of it. It just suddenly went on a black screen while we were watching a local TV program. We were using that in playing playstation and for viewing movies, especially my nephew's all time favorite...Barney Show.

I thought my father would replace it with a surplus TV, but until now, it hasn't been replaced yet.

Under Renovation...

Again, spontaneity as we all seemed, my cousins and I visited one of my cousin's house in the province. As we arrived, we observed that there were a lot of their stuffs scattered anywhere in the house as their house is undergoing some renovations. I, on the other hand, decided to roam around and checked on the clinic, the soon to be pharmacy shop and the law firm office of my uncle where a flat screen TV was placed inside with it's tv stand for entertainment purposes.

The best part is that the house was wifi hotspot. We could all use the internet together using different laptops and desktop.

My Vanity Side...

My cousins and I went to the beach yesterday. There was no formal plans mad ahead. Out of boredom we decided to cross Samal Island and hit the beach. The water was inviting but what was disappointing was the sharp corals underneath that made it hard for us to walk through it by feet.

Surprisingly, heavy rains poured down and strong winds that made it quite impossible for us to head home. We were planning to stay overnight if the rain won't go away but God was good and the rain had stopped and we were able to cross back to Davao City safely.

Exhausted, we arrived home laughing with our mishaps. Tired as I am, I still managed to hit the shower and applied my moisturizer for the face and my best eye cream before sleeping.

Next time we go outing, we should have an extra money and credit card on hand for emergency purposes.

Malling Alone...

I was at the mall this afternoon alone to buy some stuffs. Then off I did some window shopping. Lots of nice clothes and other stuffs are available and are very tempting to be purchased. Good thing, my mind was diverted to this lady who happened to offer me a free insurance quotes from a known insurance company. After then, I headed to McDonald's for my take out order and headed back home. Hays, what a boring day it was!

Stay Young and Pretty

I guess most of us are conscious on how to look good. As we age, we get more conscious of ourselves and we want to stay young and pretty. In short, we want to look good. Because feeling good and looking young and pretty boosts our confidence and helps us feel happy.

So as I was browsing online, I found these tips to help us stay young and pretty regardless of how old we are.

1. Try everything twice. On Madam's (of Whelan's and Madam) tombstone she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches).

3. Keep learning: Learn more about computers, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things. (Ice cream, good movies, chocolate, more ice cream, more chocolate, chocolate ice cream!!)

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with that person.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with you your entire life is you.Lost time can never be found. LIVE while you are alive.Do I hear a LOUD AMEN?

7.Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, or a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.

12. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

13. Pray & Praise God daily!

Kris Allen's The New American Idol...

America has finally decided who the new American idol for season 8 is. And it goes to Kris Allen! Nice one! I was betting for him though in fairness to Adam, he also has the voice. Both of them are talented but I like Kris' style more and I am happy he won! I think he did a very nice rendition of Heartless and Ain't No Sunshine. His talent's simply amazing!

Congratulations!

I Lost 4 Kilos...

I admit I really lost some weight. But even though I did, I'm still within my normal range. So I cannot say that I am underweight. But my ex commented that I don't look good with my current weight and that he likes me better when I weighed 6 kilos more back then.

Oh well, he's the only one who commented that way and I hated it! I don't know if he's comparing me with someone or was he just insecure maybe.

I'm Waiting For Any Baby Announcements...

There are already some friends of mine that had already chose to settle down and married the man of their dreams. Ohhh....lucky them! But until now, I haven't received any news or any baby announcements from any one of them. Are they keeping it a surprise or just plainly there's nothing to announce yet. Hayz. I kept asking one friend of mine if ever she's pregnant already because as a friend, I am excited to see her wear a maternity clothes and to see her cuddling her baby. What a joy that would be! Hehe.
