As an OR trainee nurse, I am mostly assigned in the endoscopy unit. I help the nurse on duty assist in endoscopic procedures such as UGI series and Colonoscopy to name a few. With colonoscopy, a scope is being inserted in your anus while you are sedated. This is a diagnostic procedure to look for any unusualities inside your colon.
