Experiencing God's Presence

I am grateful for my cell group seniors for inviting me over to G12's Ignite. For all the information of everyone, I was experiencing depression, hatred, anger and spiritual dryness over these past months and I was seeking to reconnect with God again. I believed God sent my cell group leaders to help me lead me back to him.

From my personal point of view, Ignite is G12's form of retreat. G12 is a Christian Community open for all people from different walks of life and from different religions. This community help you build a personal relationship with God.

Ignite was a one day event with a series of lecture. It was kinda boring listening all day and sitting in your chair. But I was trying to fight back that boredom by eating chips to divert my boredom. In fairness to the community, I learned a lot from that lectures.

The highlight of this event is the part where you get to experience God's presence through the Holy Spirit. We were all asked to stand in front, close our eyes and raise our hands. I prayed and asked God to accept me. I was there because I wanted to feel His presence and so I was seeking and asking Him to receive my desires. True enough, while praying and focusing on my desires and just surrendering myself to Him...I burst into tears, weeping aloud and felt my hands got warm and there was a tingling sensation. Then I felt a heavy feeling coming from my fingertips down to my arms. It was so heavy that I needed to shake my arms and even my legs. I felt my body shaking while picturing out a white dove flapping it's wings. I was following what the dove was doing. My hands felt like the dove's wings flapping. Fear of the heavy feeling I felt was my initial reaction, but the prayers of our guides really did guide me to receive God's presence. My friend beside me started to utter words, "Come into me! Come into me!". The voice was firm and getting louder. It seemed like her voice was glowing as I describe it and I felt God's presence in her as well. It felt like God was speaking that words. It was an amazing experience! I felt inner peace after that. The peace that I was longing for.

Culmination Day!

My 3 months training has finally come to an end. And as for celebrating this event, we just had our culmination program last Friday. An inspirational talk was given by our Big Boss, Dr. Romulo Busuego, the chief of hospital. And a festive lunch brought to us by Chowking. Awts.

I had undergone a lot of trainings for these past few years and I could say, this one will indeed mark as an extraordinary training...it's one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Unexpected surprises and moments from this training will truly be worth a keep. Nyahaha...

Flower Festival the Continuation

This is the continuation of our trip to agro trade fair during the kadayawan festival. Earlier I've posted photos of the participants of the landscaping contest. This time I'll be sharing with you my macro shots of orchids still taken in that same place. Proudly Davao!

Flower Festival

Floral float parade is one of the highlights of the Kadayawan Festival. I'm not really fond of watching it live in the streets because it's really congested with people plus I can't tolerate the scorching heat of the sun. So I planned to go to SM carpark instead to see the floats being parked there as I assumed.

My boyfriend and I were searching for the floats at the carpark to no luck so we ended up strolling around the agro trade fair located at SM carpark. Who gave us the idea that the floats were there anyway?

The trade fair consists of flowers and other ornaments as well as food, poultry, birds and other stuffs being shown and sold there. Went to this area where a contest in landscaping was being exhibited. Paid an entrance fee of ten pesos per head to get inside that place. Was interested to see lots of flowers inside and I thought this is a great place to take pictures. Indeed it was! So here were the shots I took...

Thursdays #1...

...Haven't had the chance to watch American idol, but was happy to know that David Cook won the said contest. Not an avid fan myself of the said event but I started rooting for him after I saw him sung "Always Be My Baby". I think he really did well on that. Perhaps this evening, I'm going to watch the replay of it, hopefully.

...Got a little curious though, my alexa rank shown on my lower right sidebar shows 392,308 while on my alexa toolbar it's still 509,499. Hmmm...is it a bug or something?

...I was mildly disappointed this morning. I received two messages from social spark informing me that my two posts didn't get approval for the lack of 3-5 sentences original content. *Sweat. Did edit it after I read it and hopefully this time it'll get approve.

...Yesterday, I promised to start answering the checklists and start writing an essay that an agency had sent me. Until now, I still haven't started doing it. Call me lazy, but I guess I really am! Nyahaha...

...And just right now, my boyfriend kept bugging me about our beach outing. Hehehe.

Okay back to business...

Instead of roaming around the city, I spent my time in the hospital for work. Geez, this is what I hate about being a nurse. *Boo.

I wanted to take some pictures in the city, but I had no opportunity to do so, sorry about that. So I surfed through the net to find some pictures from this event. And this is what I got from this site during the "Indak-Indak", (street parade).

I haven't even watched Pacquaio's fight against Marquez this morning, and again, it's all because of work. Duh! I heard Pacquaio won, and that's nice to hear. How I wish he would share his cash to me. Hahaha.

Pre-Valentine's...

Hours to go before hitting Valentine's Day! People are now starting to greet every one a Happy Heart's Day! How about you? Who are you celebrating this day with?

Me and my boyfriend never celebrated this day together. *Sob. It's just that I already got accustomed in spending this day with my family. Honestly speaking, I don't even find this a special day, not that I'm deviating from it but it seems to me that it's just another ordinary day though the difference is that I find quite a few people greeting each other, including myself. Though it's nice to see other people looking forward to this day. You'll see how their smile blooms and how they're way too busy worrying about what to give for their loved ones and it's kinda sweet, I think. For some, they're worried who their dates will be. LOL. Funny but true!

While here in the Philippines, there is this annual event called Lovapalooza wherein couples gather around in the designated location for the event and they would altogether kiss simultaneously for a definite time in national TV. It started in 2004 for the Philippine's campaign for the Guiness Record. Now it's already been celebrated for years in celebration for the valentine's day.


Anyways, I just longed for Cupid to give me bunch of flowers and stocks of chocolates this February 14. That would make me happier! Haha...
