Hachiko

Watching "Hachiko, A Dog's Tale" melted our hearts for this poor and loyal dog. We have been watching it through our friend's Samsung home theater in her condo unit. Hachiko is one example of a loyal dog, really a man's best friend. For like ten years since his master died, he still revisit the place where he usually wait for his master to arrive from work, and that is the train station. He usually sit in front and wait for his master to appear and give him a hug. For ten year, even without seeing his master he still has high hopes and wait for him patiently outside the train station. We were all teary eyed while watching it.

Jacob Was A Surprise...

It was the first night of New Moon Movie and my friends and I were so excited to watch it last night. After duty, off we went to the cinema and purchased our movie tickets. All New Moon cinemas were full with this Twilight's Saga lovers.

I think the movie was good. But I felt the story was fast paced as compared to the book. Of course they have to compressed the whole book into a movie and so I understand that. Still the vampires got a bad makeup. But what all the movie goers got struck even I, was Jacob's transformation. Not as a werewolf but as a hunk! Haha. Great physique he got there which got everyone surprised and loved him to death.

The Twilight Date

Edward: "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…"
Bella: "What a stupid lamb."
Edward: "What a sick, masochistic lion."

Earlier this morning, I was planning to watch Twilight at NCCC mall so I have to call them up to confirm the movie schedule. Now the problem would be, who would accompany me? My brother did asked me the night before to watch it with him but he was nowhere in sight this morning. He has classes to attend to. And since my boyfriend and I had a misunderstanding last night so I didn't dare to text him. Good thing he did and I asked him to watch Twilight with me! Haha. It was basically a love story between a mortal and an immortal. Didn't even find the movie extraordinary. Better listen to their lines to get the mushy details. Hehe. So now, I'm quoting the lines from the book that I got online. Feel free to share your favorite Twilight quotes.

Bella: "I love you. I will always love you, no matter what happens now."

Dark Knight's My New Prince!

Haha.

The incident happened yesterday didn't hold me from watching this movie. And since I had a fight with my movie buddy, I invited my brother to watch Dark Knight with me instead. Fortunately he agreed, why wouldn't he? This is Batman we're talking about!

The movie was great! Definitely worth every cents! And I love Joker! Very psychotically convincing act by Heath Ledger. Loved it! Wanna watch it over again.

A Night with Hancock

Just got back from the last full show of "Hancock" at NCCC Mall with my boyfriend. Funny thing is, we were supposed to watch it on their 8:00pm show but when we were about to buy our tickets, the counter reads "8:00pm show is FULL". So we bought our tickets for the 10:00pm show instead. The movie runs approximately 1 hr and 30 minutes, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, at 9:00pm we started to line up and wait for our turn to enter the cinema, and guess who I saw there?! Hehe. Comment here if you know who you are. Haha. I was starting to get sleepy before the movie started, good thing the movie was great and got me back on my senses again. Haha. You should watch it! I'm now looking forward for "Dark Knight".

Desperately Blogging

Went to the cinema the other night and watched “Wanted. Hmm…not bad. May seemed to have a common plot but the twist was done well. What am I saying here? Never mind, just watch it instead and you’ll find out.

Looking forward for “Hancock” of Will Smith. Seems like a nice movie so we’ll better watch that too. It’s been set to next picture the other night. *Fingers Crossed.

Hulk still have lots of viewers. Movie goers were lining up that night for this movie when we got out of the cinema house. Have you watched it? You better do. C”,)

Was really stupid yesterday thinking that the internet server was down. I wasn’t able to access online the whole day of yesterday waiting for the connection, even reported it the server provider’s customer service to no avail. Got me pissed and because I was furiously wanting to blog, I checked all the wire connections and there I saw that the phone line wasn’t connected well to the modem. Hmm…stupid me. Haha.

Better go now, it’s obvious I have nothing to blog about. Haha. Oh by the way, don’t forget to join the tag “Blog Experiment” that I posted here last night.

Ciao!

It's Not Easy Being Green

Once again my boyfriend and I headed to NCCC Mall last night to watch "Incredible Hulk". I was expecting for a long line at the entrance but to my surprise there weren't a lot of people waiting for their turn to get inside the movie house. It was 7:20pm when we purchased our tickets and the next showing will air at 7:40pm. We're a bit early so we were able to choose our seats. But when we got out of the cinema, people were lining up at the entrance for the next show. Nice to see a lot of Hulk fans. Hehe.

I don't personally know the character of Hulk. I only knew him as that Big Green Man and one of the Marvel superheroes, but more than that, I really don't have any idea. So I see, he became that green man from an experiment conducted to him. Wasn't it? And because he'd gone crazy with this new identity of his that he ended up hurting other people even his girlfriend, played by Liv Tyler. That made him a fugitive and was hiding from different parts of the world at the same time searching for an antidote for his condition.

In my point of view, the movie was okay though there were some dragging moments, you know a lot of talking from the characters. CGI was okay. Obviously I can only comment OKAY about this movie, nothing spectacular for me. Haha. Prepare for "King Kong and Beauty and the Beast" likes in this flick. Haha...Just kidding!

So what does Robert Downey doing on that last scene? Is it a clue that there will be an Ironman and Hulk team up?! Makes me excited with that idea! Although I am presuming that there will be a sequel since Mr. Blue has been infected with Mr. Green's blood. But Ironman and Hulk together? Hmm...we'll see!

After 1300 Years in Narnia

Last night, my boyfriend and I, along with my brother, watched this movie at NCCC mall. We were looking forward for this since we liked the first Narnia we've seen, and we thought this might be good too and we were right! Some says this movie sucks due to some boring scenes, but I guess it's up to your taste. I didn't find it boring and neither was I sleepy inside the movie house. Hehe.

Although there were some scenes that you could really tell the wonders a computer can do with the images, if your eyes are keen enough to see it. My brother did and we were just giggling when he told us about it. But it's not obvious I tell you. I like the battle scenes, (feels like I'm watching Warcraft in Live action...LOL) and I like Prince Caspian, played by Ben Barnes. I think he's hot. Harhar. While watching, I then realized that I missed the Pevensie's and Aslan.

I heard it's a major disappointment if you based it in the book. I haven't read the book though, so I cannot give any comments with regards to it. But this is better than the first movie.

Wait a minute! Is this the end of Narnia?

Saturdays #1

My mom gave me moolah the other day, and went to the mall yesterday to buy another Sophie Kinsella's novels. This time it's "Shopaholic Ties The Knot". It's a story about Becky getting married and being torn between her mom and mother-in-law who were both planning for her wedding on the same day. This book reminds me of my friend who is marrying sometime this year.

It was inside the bookstore where my boyfriend and I met for our movie date. After buying the book, we headed to McDonald's. I ordered the usual stuffs I eat, Burger McDo Meal and a Hot Fudge Sundae. It was almost a month that we haven't seen each other considering that we live near each other. So we spent that time at McDo chitchatting and updating each other with our lives.

After which we took a cab heading to NCCC Mall for our movie date. Unluckily, we were stranded almost an hour in a traffic along Quirino Ave. That was the longest traffic we've been and it was so hot inside the cab. Worst is, I felt slightly scared when I saw that the vehicle beside us were full of men in army uniform. They have this red badge on their arm and from that I recognize they're not the Philippine Army. I think they are popularly known for as the MILF or MNLF (whatever!), or Nur Misuari's troops as I describe them. That day, you can see a lot of these men in the city since there was a summit conducted in the city where their leader was a part of it.

Well, I'm not discriminating them being in our city. But I can't just help but feel just a little scared though nothing bad happen while they were here. Davao City still remained peaceful and thank God for that. I guess they're not really that bad and fearful after all.

Inside NCCC mall, we chose to watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 'cos that's what my boyfriend really wanted to watch. I'm not a fan of Indiana Jones and I find some scenes boring though there were some scenes that were funny too. I was sleepy and was eager to get out of the movie house, but since I cannot do that, I ended up resting on my boyfriend's shoulder and trying to get a nap from time to time. Hehe.

Ironman

Honestly, I'm not a comic fan and I don't know anything about Ironman. I even thought he's one of those superheroes who has this inborn super powers. But I was wrong. Good thing I watched Ironman.

In my opinion, the movie was great! I love everything about it and I highly recommend it! They say you have to watch until the very end of the credits for a surprise! Haven't seen it though coz we didn't wait for it. *Boo. So now I'm giving you that tip. c",)

Looking forward to Ironman 2 on 2010...

A Night To Remember

Been on a date with my long term boyfriend last night. As movie goers, we watched "Meet The Spartans" at NCCC Mall. Found it kinda nonsense but funny at times, just like a "Scary Movie" concept.

After which, we headed to Damosa Gateway, roamed around and headed to Fagioli. We were supposed to have some coffee there but since the place was full, we opted to go to Coffee Dream which is located around Damosa Gateway's compound.

Since I was longing for a carbonara, I ordered their "Pasta Carbonara" at P 125.00 and a "Frosticcino" P 85.00.

When the orders were then served, I was stunned to see a different pasta noodle for carbonara, not the usual fettuccine noodle I got used to. Still, I didn't mind at all. Their carbonara was just okay, but not the type that I'll go craving for.

It wasn't the carbonara nor the coffee I had that made me happy that night, but the moment I had with my boyfriend in that kind of place. He's not used to going to coffee shops and drinking coffee, but at that time, he appreciated the ambiance and was happy being there spending time with me talking and talking...reminiscing those times that we first met and how we became as what we are now.

MUSHY!

Alvin and the Chipmunks

http://alvinandthechipmunksmovie.com/

Alvin...Theodore...Simon...aren't they cute? Their cute singing voices and adventures...I missed those.

Used to watch them when I was way, way younger...hahaha. Soo love them! Now it's finally in theatres soon. I'm looking forward in watching them in live action...I wonder when it's going to be released here.

I really got to watch this. I don't care if I'm being childish or what. Let's see how these trio wreaks havoc to Dave's life.

So let's GET MUNKED!!

Shame on me, I never knew that Resiklo means Recycle, since tagalog's not my native tongue. LOL. That's when I learned it when I get to watched Resiklo in SM Cinema awhile ago. I realized it when the characters used recycled parts of used machines to produce their so-called robots for combats against the Balangs.

The movie was good. I like the visual effects compared with the other Pinoy sci-fi films I've watched. Though the story was a bit dragging for me, maybe because I want the fight scenes more? LOL. And I want something unqiue, because it seems like a Pinoy Transformers (except for the cars) with a bit of Star Wars for me.

But still...it's worth watching this film!
