Chillin' Out at Fagioli

You may have noticed that I've been raving about Fagioli Coffee Shop. I've been a fan of their coffee, pastries and pasta since I first visited them. They've never disappointed me so far. And again, after strolling around the city for the kadayawan, we went to Fagioli to eat.

Crap?!

I'm trying to do some paid reviews this time but I think the server's down of a certain site. I'm receiving some error and I can't submit my review. *Sweat.

On another note, just like to share with you what I ate for dinner. Went to fagioli yesterday and had some Aglio e Olio, which was kinda oily and chilli, not really my type, and a Green Iced Tea...this is what I love. Heavenly! Had to order another one! Yay!

My Ferreros!

Seems like my adrenaline rush was once again activated by the time I saw this box of Ferrero's being taken out by my boyfriend from his back pack and gave it to me. Geez, can't help but scream from excitement. I looove Ferrero's and I looove chocolates! And my happy hormones were being stimulated even by merely looking at them 'coz I know they're mine!! Weee!

Fagioli At Last!

It was my craving to visit Fagioli. At last, with my friend's company, I managed to satisfy my cravings for this coffee shop. I heard a lot of raves about this shop that got me interested to visit this place. And I wasn't disappointed!

Fagioli Coffee Shop is located along J.P. Laurel Ave., in front of Link2Support in Damosa. You'll see that big yellow sign of Fagioli's trademark right beside Kia Motors.

I had Iced Cafe Latte (Php 85) and Puttanesca (Php 140). I'm not a pasta expert but what I know is that I love pasta. The pasta's kinda oily, I don't know if that should be the case though I was satisfied with it. Kinda heavy for my appetite but I liked it, reminds me of Sbarro (I miss Sbarro, *Sob). Makes me crave for more. Let me stop describing those so I could share you these photos.



I'll surely visit them again.

Saturdays #1

My mom gave me moolah the other day, and went to the mall yesterday to buy another Sophie Kinsella's novels. This time it's "Shopaholic Ties The Knot". It's a story about Becky getting married and being torn between her mom and mother-in-law who were both planning for her wedding on the same day. This book reminds me of my friend who is marrying sometime this year.


It was inside the bookstore where my boyfriend and I met for our movie date. After buying the book, we headed to McDonald's. I ordered the usual stuffs I eat, Burger McDo Meal and a Hot Fudge Sundae. It was almost a month that we haven't seen each other considering that we live near each other. So we spent that time at McDo chitchatting and updating each other with our lives.

After which we took a cab heading to NCCC Mall for our movie date. Unluckily, we were stranded almost an hour in a traffic along Quirino Ave. That was the longest traffic we've been and it was so hot inside the cab. Worst is, I felt slightly scared when I saw that the vehicle beside us were full of men in army uniform. They have this red badge on their arm and from that I recognize they're not the Philippine Army. I think they are popularly known for as the MILF or MNLF (whatever!), or Nur Misuari's troops as I describe them. That day, you can see a lot of these men in the city since there was a summit conducted in the city where their leader was a part of it.

Well, I'm not discriminating them being in our city. But I can't just help but feel just a little scared though nothing bad happen while they were here. Davao City still remained peaceful and thank God for that. I guess they're not really that bad and fearful after all.


Inside NCCC mall, we chose to watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 'cos that's what my boyfriend really wanted to watch. I'm not a fan of Indiana Jones and I find some scenes boring though there were some scenes that were funny too. I was sleepy and was eager to get out of the movie house, but since I cannot do that, I ended up resting on my boyfriend's shoulder and trying to get a nap from time to time. Hehe.

A Night To Remember

Been on a date with my long term boyfriend last night. As movie goers, we watched "Meet The Spartans" at NCCC Mall. Found it kinda nonsense but funny at times, just like a "Scary Movie" concept.

After which, we headed to Damosa Gateway, roamed around and headed to Fagioli. We were supposed to have some coffee there but since the place was full, we opted to go to Coffee Dream which is located around Damosa Gateway's compound.

Since I was longing for a carbonara, I ordered their "Pasta Carbonara" at P 125.00 and a "Frosticcino" P 85.00.

When the orders were then served, I was stunned to see a different pasta noodle for carbonara, not the usual fettuccine noodle I got used to. Still, I didn't mind at all. Their carbonara was just okay, but not the type that I'll go craving for.


It wasn't the carbonara nor the coffee I had that made me happy that night, but the moment I had with my boyfriend in that kind of place. He's not used to going to coffee shops and drinking coffee, but at that time, he appreciated the ambiance and was happy being there spending time with me talking and talking...reminiscing those times that we first met and how we became as what we are now.

Lactose Embarassing Moment...

I was so stupid during my night shift. Ma'am Dianil brought "Maja" (a Filipino dessert) to our unit in celebration for our head nurse's birthday.

Since I was hungry, I thought of eating some of it before proceeding to our morning care with our little patients. I had 2 big slices of "Maja" until I noticed my stomach started to rumble inside. Grrr...

For your information, I am intolerant to lactose, and I totally forgot about it including that milk is one of the ingredients of "Maja".

Shoot! Off I went to the toilet room. Grr...

Anyways, just have to charge it to experience then. At least I have tasted the delicacy of Ma'am Dianil's mom. It was yummy!

But before that incident took place, I took a picture with one of our little angels...


And I call him, "cutie crying chub-chub".

Chocoholics Attack!!!

How does one chocoholic like me resists such chocolaty temptation, huh?! I've been eating these chocolates for a week already, and I just can't get to make myself stop from doing so. *Swt. What can I do?! Chocolates are really tempting, right my fellow choco addicts? And even I've been consciously watching what I eat for these past 3 months, I think I have to make an exception this time. Just for this time, I promise! Until all these chocolates have already been consumed. Haha! So here were the chocolates I've been going gaga lately!

First on my list are the Ferreros:


Ferrero Rocher. Luscious, creamy, chocolaty filling surrounding a whole hazelnut, within a delicate, crisp wafer all enveloped in milk chocolate and finely chopped hazelnuts. I soo loved it! Hehe.






Ferrero Garden Coco. It's rich in coconut cream surrounding a cream almond, within a delicate, crisp wafer topped with meringue and shredded coconut. I swear it's yummy!





Ferrero Rondnoir. I used to hate dark chocolates for it's bitter taste. But with this, I just find myself craving for more. It has a creamy dark chocolate surrounding a "black pearl" of fine dark chocolate, within a delicate, crisp wafer topped with crunchy dark chocolate morsels.

Marks & Spencer's Operetta. Quite similar with Ferrero's with the wafer and fillings for that matter. Operetta's a whole hazelnut surrounded by a rich praline cream & crispy wafer, coated in milk chocolate & chopped hazelnuts. I absolutely loved it as well!


What can I say?! These were all scrumptious and I have nothing to say bad about these. So before the ants eat these all up ahead of me, I'll definitely consumed these for God's sake! Haha!
